Introduction of Trignometry For Class 10 Maths Formulas

  • Trigonometry literally means measurement of sides and angles of a triangle.
  • Positive and Negative angles: Angles in anti-clockwise direction are taken as positive angles and angles in clockwise direction are taken as negative angles.
  • Trigonometric Ratios of an acute angle of a right angled triangle:
Value of sin, cos, tan, cot at 0, 30, 45, 60, 90 - Trigonometry Table

Easy Way to Learn All Formulas of Trigonometry Class 10

It is just a small trick to learn the relationships of trigonometry which goes as follows,

  • Pandit – Badri – Parsad
  • Har – Har – Bole
  • Sona – Chandi Tole

So, here, we have represented this mnemonic in the table. P represents perpendicular, B represents Base and H represents Hypotenuse whereas S means Sin θ, C means Cos θ and T means Tan θ. Now it becomes easy to learn a particular relationship. For Sin θ, it is P/H and so on. For the relationships of Cosec θ, you need to inverse the Sin θ, for Sec θ inverse the Cos θ, and for Cot θ, inverse the tan θ and you get all the relationships so easily.

It is not a fixed trick or mentioned in the textbooks. It is just made to learn and remember some concepts easily. You can make your own mnemonics to learn difficult things. In this way, you can create tricks for all the trigonometry formulas for Class 10.
